Hope in the midst of chaos.
Our country maybe reeling from one natural disaster after another – super typhoons like Pedring in Luzon and Sendong in Mindanao, along with several political stories that hogged the national dailies this year. Yet, as a nation, the Philippines could bounce back on its feet and expect a brighter tomorrow.
Psalm 33:11-12 says, 11 But
the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.
In spite of the many disasters we’ve faced as a nation, they won’t prevent the Lord from fulfilling His purpose and plan for the Philippines.
We may get frustrated, disappointed or even get discouraged by what we see in our country’s political scene or the bickering we see among some of our government leaders, or the corruption that’s prevalent in the government.
Yet, God’s plans stand firm forever.
He is completely trustworthy, for His intentions never change.
We can cross over from 2011 to 2012, hopeful and full of faith that our powerful God is in charge of our daily affairs, in charge of our families, in charge of our work/career, in charge of our business and in charge of our future.
Happy New year to all!!
