Six Years And Counting


Six years and counting!

Yes, we’re celebrating our sixth year wedding anniversary on Thursday (Dec. 9).

I was looking at all our wedding pictures saved at my Macbook recently. And it evoked fresh memories of that wonderful, wonderful day when Ava and I tied the knot.

Our short six-year journey (compared to others who have celebrated their 50th anniversary) has been a faith-building journey, I should say.

God taught us a lot of valuable lessons in learning to love each other more and to  forgive each other again and again (because the more we stayed together under one roof, the more we discovered that we are imperfect after all as opposed to the Cloud 9 feeling we had early on in our married life).

I’m reminded of Gary Chapman’s book Five Love Languages: “Marriage is a relationship, not a project to be completed or a problem to be solved.”

Excited for the many more years I’ll live with Ava :)
