Writing to Keep My “Idea-Juice” Flowing

I’ve been writing since I passed as a campus sportswriter at University of Santo Tomas’ official school paper, the Varsitarian way back in 1997.

KeyboardBy God’s grace, I was eventually able to land a spot as a sportswriter with the Manila Times and eventually Manila Bulletin.

Now, I’m writing blogs, sharing to you the Four I’s my wife and I have identified to keep us focused—Information, Ideas, Inspiration and Insights.

After reading Pastor Mark Batterson’s regular blog site, www.evotional.com about his soon-to-be-published book Primal, my adrenaline jumped up to my brain.

That’s because for the last 10 years, I’ve been dreaming of writing and having my own book published.

Well, if you’d ask me what I’m going to write, my mind is still hazy at this point.

But certainly, once God gives me a strong impression to write on a certain topic that is relevant, thought-provoking and life-changing, I’d waste no second writing it and pounding on my keyboard.

For now, I’m on the prayer mode, on the reading mode and on a blog-writing mode—to keep my “idea-juice” flowing while waiting for God’s right timing.
